By detecting distortions to the magnetic field generated by its head,
StressVision can guide the examiner to those parts of the metal surface
(tube of pipe line, reservoirs, etc.)  where there are formed local
stress concentration, or can assist in diagnosing the type of dangerous
defect present. Regular assessments of working tubes of pipe lines
(especially - welded seams) can be used to predict failure modes and
life expectancy.

Stress concentrators and gradients of stresses easily find on the maps
similar on geographic. X and Y on maps represent coordinates of a dot
on a surface of metal, value in each dot of a map corresponds to a
notch-sensitivity index (or to a gradient). Maps can be imaged in 2D ,
3D , etc. It principally enhances effect of work of the operative. As
coordinates of concentrators are rotined on a map, it is easy to
arrange on their canceling. Therefore reliability of a construction
easily raises.
